If your container is lost or stolen, please contact the Environmental Services Department at (858) 694-7000 or trash@sandiego.gov.

The City will soon deliver new gray trash and light blue recycling containers to your property and replace your current black trash and blue recycling containers. Deliveries will occur through October 2025 and June 2026. Please select your desired size and quantity of waste collection containers on the Residential Waste Collection Services Portal between July 15 and September 30. You will continue to use your existing green container(s) unless you select a different size or quantity in the Portal.

If your current container(s) cannot be serviced and need to be replaced prior, please contact the Environmental Services Department at (858) 694-7000 or e-mail trash@sandiego.gov to request a replacement.
