After submitting a 72-hour vehicle violation, the report will be routed to an officer on the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement team for evaluation. Due to the code enforcement process, and the significant volume of reports, please allow up to 30 days for a complete evaluation of the report.
Following their evaluation, an officer may close the report for one of many reasons, including:
- the vehicle was cited
- the vehicle has been towed
- the vehicle was gone on arrival
- the vehicle moved more than 1/10th of a mile

Here are some helpful tips for making sure the teams can respond to your report effectively:
- Provide the full accurate vehicle license plate number
- Provide photos - clearly showing the location of the vehicle, including surroundings
- Provide accurate make, model, color descriptions
- Provide your contact info so an officer can reach out to you for more details if needed
