After submitting a 72-hour vehicle violation, the report will be routed to an officer on the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement team for evaluation.

• On first response, if the vehicle is still there, the officer will mark the vehicle (you should receive an in-process update status after this step)
• After 72-hours, an officer will return and check to see if the vehicle has moved
• If the vehicle has not moved, it will be cited and potentially impounded
• the vehicle has moved, the case will be closed

Due to the code enforcement process, and the significant volume of reports, please allow up to 30 days for a complete evaluation of the report.

• Provide the full accurate vehicle license plate number
• Provide photos - clearly showing the location of the vehicle, including surroundings
• Provide accurate make, model, color descriptions
• Provide your contact info so an officer can reach out to you for more details if needed
