The City charges for your service level based on your property's waste production level (i.e. types of bins). These container service levels can be modified on your account on the Environmental Services Department Residential Waste Collection Service Portal .
Please note: you can modify your service selection within the first 30 days of receiving your new grey trash container. If you would like to upgrade the size of your container, you may do so using Get It Done by requesting a Container Size Upgrade . You may also request additional containers by calling the Environmental Services Contact Center (858) 694-7000.
For repairs and replacements to damaged containers, use the Damaged Container request type on Get It Done. This is available at no additional cost, including delivery.
