The City of San Diego recently delivered the existing green containers in 2023 when we rolled out the new curbside organic waste collection program. Since these containers are still relatively new, they will only be adjusted if the property owner selects a different size than they currently have or if they select additional containers.
If your property still has the original green yard waste container, the City will update these to the standard organic waste container later in 2026.
